VOCARE Definitions

Rector: A young adult who is in charge of a specific VOCARE weekend. He or She must worked three previous VOCARES, been a Family Leader, and given a talk. The rector is prayerfully nominated by the Steering Committee.

Head Steward: A young adult who works with the Rector on a specific VOCARE weekend. They are in charge of making sure all the background activities run smoothly. He or she must have been a steward and given a talk.

Prayer Steward: A young adult who prays throughout the weekend and works under the Head Steward's guidance in getting the background activities done smoothly.

Family Steward: A young adult who attends to a specific family group. He or she makes sure the family group has the supplies that are needed and gets them absolutely anything else that they may need!

Family Leader: A young adult who is part of a family group. He or she is there to facilitate the discussion if needed.

Family Group: A group of young adults. Family group time is a time to discuss the talks and weekend with others using activities as a instrument for stirring conversation.

Large Group: The whole group of candidates and staff on any specific weekend.

Spiritual Advisor: There are normally two spiritual advisors, a man and a woman, and they are usually priests or pastors but are not required to be ordained. They are there to guide the weekend spiritually, to assist with church services, and to council candidates and/or staff as needed.
